like no one has ever stayed there before
air crisp
scent fresh
carpet vacuumed
kingsized bed sheets pulled up so tightly
row of pillows upright against headboard
chocolate mints foily on top
waste basket empty
all drawers bare
nothing hanging in closet
desk uncluttered
channel guide, pen&pad, room service menu
uniformly spaced sharp right angles
dusted countertop
ice bucket dry, ready
drinking glasses in plastic wrap
coffee maker, packets, filters, stirrers in little basket
bathroom towels folded into precise rectangles
complimentary bottles lined up - shampoo, conditioner, bodywash
bar of soap in small cardboard box
toilet paper dangle creased into a perfect triangular point
it all makes me go, "Ahhhhhhhhh"
BUT THEN I HAFTA PEE…
a little bit gets on the seat
I reach for perfect toilet paper dangle
hesitate for a moment
then sigh
tear it off
crumple it up
wipe my dick and the bowl
before tossing it
