Mountain Bluebirds… they always migrate thru Boulder in March, but took me awhile to find them this year… man, there is nothing like seeing that bright blue contrasting with the golden grass, that is the essence of spring for me, one of those sights that make life worth living

Eastern Screech-Owl… lifer!

Bohemian Waxwings!… oh man, have always wanted to see them because of my affinity for all things Bohemian, but rarely do they come this far south… large yet elusive flocks have been reported lately around Boulder County, finally got lucky with point blank look at hundreds today in Lafayette… look, they’re all made up and ready to can-can at the Moulin Rouge!

Gray Fox… mammal lifer!… was creeping about the ruins at Montezuma Well like some kind of ancient spirit

Last new bird of the year - Western Screech Owl!… Had 304 species this year, (my second best ever), including 22 lifers!
